Litchi 2 taxonomic checklist validator and cross-map generator
Installation
Litchi version 2 is a Web-based application.
You may install your own copy by downloading the source code from the
Litchi software repository.
Installed Web application
Alternatively, you can run a copy already installed on a server in Cardiff
by using the links below,
in whch case you will need a Litchi database user name and password,
obtainable from
Richard White.
Caveats
Please note the following limitations and restrictions of the current version, when running your own tests:
-
The system is not multi-user.
All users share the same database, including uploaded checklists, created cross-maps, and edited rules.
-
Please do not delete any checklists or cross-maps created by anyone else.
Be careful, because the only way to see the list of checklists is to click on "Delete A List".
-
The "litchi" user is not supposed to be able to edit the rules, but can view a list of them.
-
There are two ways to upload checklists.
Ignore the "Spice wrapper" method and use the CSV (comma-separated values) test format.
Each block of names consists of an accepted ("correct") name
followed by a list of synonyms.
Have a look in
a folder of test data sets
to see what the upload format looks like.
Online Litchi 2 versions
The following versions are available.
They all share the same database, and the differences between them are (probably) minimal.
